Band logo ideas

To help with the publicity of our band, we wanted to create something that people would be able to remember them by so we decided that we wanted to create a motif of an image that people would see and instantly think of 'Cool Kidz'. This would also appear on CD covers and merchandise etc. so we wanted to make it as bold as we could. We tested a few different designs as we weren't sure if we wanted to incorporate the bands name or if we just wanted a logo. Below are a few designs. (We used a graphics tab to create the logos)

We liked this design as it used the band name but also has our own twist on it. The hand written style gave it a unique, cool look and we liked the way the diamonds replaced the 'O's as this also made the name less plain. We then wanted to try doing the same writing effect but change the images replacing the O's, so below are some examples of this.

As we were undecided at the start of this process as to whether we wanted to use the band name or not, we looked at using just an image and our favourite one was a pair of sunglasses as this is widely regarded as a symbol of being cool. Below is the one we made:

We loved the look of all these designs, however, we really like the idea of the sunglasses as they're so simple but can relate to the band better than anything else we could've though of. The glasses still needed some work but we now have a starting point.
